Program Awardees Announced
Governor Phil Scott and the Agency of Commerce and Community Development announced the awarding of ThinkVermont Innovation Grants. Center to Host Diversity Conference
The Greater Burlington Multicultural Resource Center is sponsoring its 2019 Diversity Conference on Friday, April 12th from 8:30 AM to 3 PM at the Burlington Hilton, 60 Battery Street, Burlington, VT. The 2019 conference will feature panels on Opiate Addiction and Workplace Diversity, as well as a job fair featuring over 20 employers. Green Mountain Power Launches
Electric Vehicle Rebates
COLCHESTER, Vt. – Green Mountain Power is launching a new way for Vermonters to cut carbon and fight climate change by driving electric. All GMP customers buying or leasing a new all-electric vehicle can now get a $1,500 rebate, new plug in hybrid customers can get $1,000, and customers getting pre-owned EVs can get a $750 rebate. List of the World’s Most Innovative Companies
COLCHESTER, Vt. – For the third year in a row, Green Mountain Power earned a spot among the top ten most innovative energy companies in the world, landing at number five in Energy as Fast Company released its prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2019. GMP joins companies like Apple, Stitch Fix and Peloton on the list. (continue)

Net Neutrality Restoration
WASHINGTON – Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Rep. Peter Welch (D-Vt.) joined House and Senate colleagues in introducing legislation to restore a free and open internet. The legislation would overturn a 2017 anti-consumer move by the Trump administration’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that gutted net neutrality protections enacted by the Obama Administration.
